Past Time

Have you ever thought about it?
How time can flash before your eyes?

Some times...

Some times, if not always,
I wondered if you'll be the only one I'll see. . .

You were my everything, as cliche as it may sound, but undeniably true.
You were our linchpin of sorts, a chaotic little mess, and yet-

You were just the beginning,
the "Starter Pack" as you seemed to call it with ease~
As if not needing therapy yourself, only the permission of disappearing acts-

And thinking back now,
I pondered why I thought we should've
lasted more when it was kinder to sever
the relationship we had left.

Maybe then, we could have had
something to go back to. . .

But now,
with things said and done,
reliving each memory, I won't ever deny you
the affection I had for you, because although it isn't the same,

although it may never go back to how it was,
for infinity and beyond, I will always cherish you immensely.

Whether tragedy, fairytale, or realistic ending,
